The Tier 5 project was a data storage centre of the highest specification and security requirements. To fit within the existing redundant metal press workshop of the previous Mitsubishi car factory, the development was innovative and advanced thinking. The project was designed in stages and to utilise the enormous existing gantry crane so that computer storage pods could be added and removed by being lifted in and out of position as required.
